But what do you say for “bròg-sheòmair” in your areas? This is what we have in “Fieldwork” and other sources.Out of “Fielwork” here's what we have:
- Bachall (Tarbert, Kintyre)
- Cluarein (Finsbay, Harris)
- Cuaran (South Uist)
- Laobhag (Barvas, Lewis)
- Maolag (Culkein, Wester Ross)
- Pandan (Strathglass)
- Slamairean (West Wick, Lewis)
- Slipeirean (Scalpay, Harris)
- Spleachain (Kildonan, South Uist)
In Dwelly's Dictionary the following can be found: We know now what we will be putting on when we return home tonight! Do you recognise any of the words above? Do you have an another word? Let us know on facebook, twitter and our website!
