This week’s word is ‘iain-nam-bròg’, a piece of wood that would be used to remove boots.

‘Iain-nam-bròg’ is a slang word, which would commonly be used by fishermen. As you can see from the picture, the piece of wood would have a ‘V’ shape cut into it, into which the boot would be placed to help remove it from the wearer.
