Kenneth A. Ferguson was born on October 13, 1877 in l'Ardoise Highlands in 1877. He was the son of Neil and Alexanderina Ferguson. He composed many Gaelic songs, especially about WWI. He contributed many letters to the Gaelic newspaper MacTalla. He died in 1928 and is laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Lower L'Ardoise, Richmond County.
