Additional Info:

This recording by C.I.N. MacLeod is a recording of a recording. MacLeod was making a copy of a commercial recording that Duncan Angus made in Montreal in 1918 (mistakenly noted as 1914 on the tape), which was funded by John McMartin, co-owner of the Hollinger Gold Mines.

Thanks to Chelsey MacPherson for supplying additional background information and to Glengarry Celtic Music Hall of Fame for the photograph of Duncan Angus McRae.
