This is a little story about Hector when he lived alone in Hillsdale. And I was told by John Hughie MacEachern. It was a cold and wintery day and he was taking Hector somewhere in his sled. The snow was quite deep and they were having quite a hard time. But as they went along, John was trying to advise Hector that he should leave there and go and find some place to live for the winter and then just come back in the summer. But Hector made no reply and so they kept on going and they were having a hard time. And Hector calmly said to John, "Now," he said, "if you would just pull over on the other side of the road, you could get along much better."
