In 1929, she married Michael Chisholm (Mìcheal mac Iain ’ic Chailein) of Melford. Together, they raised a large and loving family of eleven children. Ena was a devoted mother and a dedicated schoolteacher. She especially cherished speaking Gaelic, often conversing in the language with her sister Jessie Ann.
