Notes 2 |
The metadata for the Cape Breton Gaelic Folklore Collection has been compiled from an index at St FX University and additional information was entered by volunteers during online transcription frolics in 2021. At the end of the Language in Lyrics project in March 2022, the metadata is still incomplete and it is hoped that further funding will be secured for a project dedicated to expanding the metadata and completing transcriptions for these songs. |

One verse. |
Notes 4 |
Recording includes a story about the informant's father and a mare who was a descendant of the King of Heart's (a well known driving horse). A verse from the mare's perspective accompanies the story beginning as "'S ged a chaill mi mo [?]" with chorus "Màili dhonn bhòidheach dhonn." This fragment is most likely "Òran dhan Làiridh" (GF112i05). |
