Notes 1 |
A humorous marriage song about a couple from Big Pond, Steaphan MacKinnon and a daughter of Frank MacNeil. They first went to Maighstir Dòmhnallach to be married but failed to produce a proper marriage license, so he refused to marry them. Instead they went to Maighstir Seòras Mac'Illeathain who knew them and therefore married them. |
Notes 2 |
The bard was the groom's brother. |
