  • corpas dealantach iomlan de sgrìobhainnean ann an Gàidhlig na h-Alba a chruthachadh do dh’oileanaich agus luchd-rannsachaidh cànan, litreachas agus cultar Gàidhlig na h-Alba
  • an stèidh theacsail a thoirt airson a’ phròiseict eadar-oilthigheil, Faclair na Gàidhlig, air am bi faclair eachdraidheil na Gàidhlig, a tha ri teachd, stèidhichte
  • goireas a thoirt a nì planadh corpais agus teicneòlas leasachadh corpais airson na Gàidhlig nas fhasa

Tha a’ chiad earrann de Chorpas na Gàidhlig ag amas air 337 teacsa bho gach àm ann an litreachas na Gàidhlig agus bho iomadach gnè – bàrdachd, rosg, òrain agus beul-aithris nam measg sin – a chur ann an cruth didseatach. Tha na sgrìobhainnean sin (ann an liosta gu h-ìseal) air prìomhachas fhaighinn gus stèidh theacsail a thoirt dhan phròiseact faclaireachd eadar-oilthigheil, Faclair na Gàidhlig. Thathar an dùil gum bi farsaingeachd sgrìobhainnean eile air an cur ris, mar a thèid Corpas na Gàidhlig air adhart, agus thar ùine, gum bi labhairt air a riochdachadh le sgrìobhainnean agus le faidhlichean fuaim. Anns an ùine fhada, bidh an Corpas air a chleachdadh gus am faclair ùrachadh.
